Empowering Justice through accessible Legal information
The High Court is the second level in the justice delivery system in Tanzania. It is established under article 108(1) of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania. It has jurisdiction to determine civil and criminal matters in accordance with the law of the land. Similarly, the High Court has jurisdiction to deal with any matter which, accordance to legal traditions in Tanzania, can ordinarily be dealt with by the High Court.
